Point to PX Converter

Turn print typography sizes into screen pixels. Enter points and get the px value at 96 DPI so your CSS matches the design.

Common point to pixel values

The formula behind pt and px

At 96 DPI, 1 point equals 4/3 pixels. So 12pt is 16px, 24pt is 32px. This tool uses that ratio so you get values you can drop into CSS.

Where this helps

  • Moving type specs from print (points) into web (pixels)
  • Setting font-size in px when the design is in pt
  • Checking sizes without opening DevTools

Limitations

Conversion assumes 96 DPI. Different screens and zoom levels change how big a pixel looks. For scalable type, pair with our PX to REM converter or CSS Unit Converter.
